April 2012

I'm not sure what this is from, but he's cute, so there you go.

 

 Charlotte had a couple of nights like this 

(that 90 should be closer to 100)

But luckily she's adorable as well, so we keep her around.

 Ben and Jerry's had a Free Ice Cream Day, so I did my civic duty and took Caleb and his friend Cameron. It was for the children. Really.

Grandma Knickerbocker sent the kids the most adorable Easter clothes. Caleb wanted to model them for her.

He also wanted a picture with the Easter Bunny. I still maintain the creepiness of the EB.

For my birthday we went straight for the dessert. Let's be honest. That's what everyone wants for their birthday.

I love living here.

Peter was able to be home in time for bed time stories a couple of nights during April. Caleb didn't eat it up at all... Nope.

We were so excited that our friends from Philly (now in Arizona) were able to come out to visit. Taylor had an ENT conference here in San Diego and brought the fam with him. Zoe and Caleb were so little the last time they were together!

 We participated in the San Diego March for Babies event. It was great!

 Charlotte was on Team Jack in the Box. They made this adorable shirt for her!

 One of Charlotte's nurses made her this little rabbit and a blanket to go with it.
 She's not spoiled at all...

March 2012

 March 2012: a photographic recap

 We spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful weather in March. Pete was working a lot of evenings, so we would frequently head down to the beach to enjoy the sunset.

 

 

Caleb got a new bike, and loved riding it around Mission Bay Park.

 

 I got really bored while Peter was working....

I worked at a March of Dimes table at a conference for Neonatologists, and guess who I ran into? One of Charlotte's neos from Chester County. It was like seeing a bit of home!

 

 We celebrated Charlotte's birthday a couple of weeks late, and she even put a crumb or two in her mouth. She didn't swallow them, but she didn't cry!

 We spent a lot of time at the doctor's office.

 

I tried to convince the children to take naps. Sometimes, they were slightly forced.

 We said goodbye to one of our Physical Therapy students. Charlotte LOVED working with Miss B.

My brother, Aaron, does a phenomenal job of making sure the cousins get together, and usually it means he drives down to San Diego from Santa Monica. But we made it up there one weekend and had a blast at the Pier.

 

Caleb apparently ate pudding with his fingers. Because who waits around for a spoon? 

Not this kid!

 We spent most of our time at SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo.

 And last, but definitely not least, Charlotte started at the Infant Program at the Alcott School. It's a program for developmentally delayed two year olds in the San Diego Unified School District.

Birthday Party Attendees

 Caleb has been lucky to have some great friends here in San Diego. Teis just had his third birthday and we had an awesome time at his party. In a park. In March.

San Diego still blows my mind.

Anyway, the weather was fabulous, the decorations were perfect (Monster Truck Party!) and the company was incredible.

That's *almost* eating, right? At least she knows what to do with it :)
